Heather Turnbull helps Not for Profit and Corporate sector organizations develop strategy, articulate relevancy and impact, and implement solutions that are potent, innovative and sustainable.

Heather's facilitation techniques support important conversations, build consensus, and guide implementation for real progress. Her 25+ years experience includes assignments in mergers and acquisitions (specifically talent development and culture integration), leadership, and employee and volunteer engagement.

A native Maritimer, Heather has proudly served in numerous volunteer capacities at both the executive and committee levels, including Global President of the Association of Career Professionals (ACP) International, as well as extensive involvement with the IEP Conferences.

He is currently the Manager, Career Connections at the Insurance Institute of Canada – a national career awareness initiative which promotes the wide array of rewarding career paths in the property & casualty insurance industry to students, career changers, and IEPs at 400+ events per year.

Trevor is respected for his candour, passion, and commitment to helping people achieve their career goals. This passion is anchored by post-graduate studies in adult education and career development.

Sashya D'Souza, BA (Hons.), MBA

Sashya leads TFSA's talent department which executes research and multi-stakeholder initiatives that help to align the strategies of employers, educators and government to expand the pool of in-demand, "work-ready" talent available to the financial services sector in the Toronto region.

Her 15+ years of human resources experience spans recruitment, engagement, retention, and employee well-being strategies. Sashya frequently speaks at industry conferences, including in India, China, the Caribbean and the US.

Aubrae Wilson, MSc, Ed.D. Candidate

Over the past ten years, Aubrae has developed and managed business programs and courses for continuing education and graduate schools in Canada and the United States. Currently, as a Program Director for the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies, Aubrae applies her expertise in adult education, online learning and academic quality to the accounting and finance certificate programs and courses.

Aubrae holds an MSc in Post-Secondary, Adult and Continuing Education from Portland State University (Portland, Ore., US), is completing a doctoral program in Educational Administration at Northeastern University (Boston, Ma., US) and is a student at the School of Continuing Studies.

Christina works for IFSE the educational arm of The Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) and a leader in financial education. As a not-for-profit organization, IFSE offers affordably priced courses for professionals, students, and people looking to work in the financial services industry.

Christina has spent 23+ years working in the financial services industry. In her current role, Christina is responsible for setting and implementing IFSE's strategic direction. Prior to IFSE, Christina worked for several national investment dealers helping clients reach their financial goals. Christina earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and is a Certified Financial Planner®.

Kimberley Ney, MBA

Kimberley oversees the development of marketing and communications programs that advance FPSC's purpose to drive value and instill confidence in financial planning. Among other accomplishments, she launched FPSC’s first national television awareness campaign, introduced new consumer facing tools and resources for CFP® professionals to use in their promotion of financial planning, created a network of CFP professional ambassadors who lecture at various colleges and universities regarding the profession, and has steadily expanded Financial Planning Week.

A long-time advocate for corporate citizenship and social responsibility, Kimberley's passion for empowering Canadians through financial literacy and corporate accountability has been paramount throughout her career.

Trini Mitra, CPA, CGA
Manager of Finance and Information Technology Services
Ontario Heritage Trust

Trini Mitra has 15 years of financial management and accounting experience, including over a decade serving in various roles with the Canadian Opera Company and Opera Atelier. He is currently the Manager of Finance and Information Technology Services for the Ontario Heritage Trust, an agency of the Provincial Government of Ontario.

An active volunteer, Trini sits on the Board of Community One Foundation and The Toronto Consort, providing assistance on financial decision-making and funds investment advice. He brings a unique perspective, enthusiasm and successful work history representing both the not-for-profit and government sectors.

Susan Chong, CPA, CGA, CFA
Manager, Investment Governance
Canada Pension Plan Investment Board

Susan Chong obtained her Bachelor of Commerce with the University of Toronto after immigrating to Canada as a young adult, and is currently pursuing her MBA part-time at Southern New Hampshire University. Susan’s fifteen years of experience in accounting and finance includes various project management and leadership positions, most recently serving in a governance role at a large pension fund.

Susan enthusiastically believes everyone deserves the best in life regardless of their background: to demonstrate her commitment, she is an active volunteer in mentoring new immigrant professionals in Canada, promoting the benefits of financial literacy, and helping adults with the financial skills to live a fully engaged life.

Glorious Okpali, CPA, CMA, MBA
Senior Accountant

Glorious Okpali serves in a senior accounting role with CSSA, an organization representing the recycling interests of Canadian businesses across several provinces and jurisdictions. CSSA offers convenient, clever, environmentally sustainable ways for consumers to dispose of the paper, packaging and products these businesses create—from newspapers to glass, metals to plastics.

Prior to coming to Canada from Nigeria in 2006, Glorious held progressively responsible positions within the manufacturing, pharmaceutical and personal care products industry. Glorious volunteers on the Board of Directors of a condominium corporation, as well as contributes to The Mentoring Partnership and other initiatives to assist students and new immigrants with their career aspirations.

Nadiya Koshtura, CPA, CMA, Masters of Accounting

Nadiya Koshtura is the Controller of one of Toronto’s premier hospitality destinations, The Old Mill, featuring banquet facilities, fine dining, a boutique hotel and spa. Her varied work experience includes positions in pharmaceutical, distribution, property management, entertainment, consulting, and real estate development.

In her free time Nadiya loves to volunteer with her church and the Ukrainian Youth Association, as well as explore her new country (and new home), appreciative of Canada’s diversity of cultures and religions.

Kristina Skera immigrated to Canada from her native Albania where she earned her undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance.

Since settling in the GTA in 2000, Kristina has enthusiastically developed her career through a combination of formal study and work experience, including key roles in the not for profit, food and beverage and real estate sectors.
