The College of Dental Technologists of Ontario (CDTO), created under the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 , Statutes of Ontario, 1991, has as its mandate to protect the public interest by regulating and guiding dental technologists. Dental technologists are regulated health care professionals whose scope of practice includes the design, construction, repair or alteration of dental prosthetic, restorative and orthodontic devices.
