Darya Duma, PEng, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner

Darya Duma, PEng, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner is the President of 4DPM, providing consulting and instruction in project management. Past history includes being Vice-President of Procept Associates Ltd, Quality Manager responsible for maintaining Procept’s ISO 9001 registration, and projects developing national and international standards for CSA and ISO, developing PM governance frameworks and managing elevator installations for a mechanical contractor.

Practice areas include PM methodology design, PM software implementation, and course design and delivery. Darya was a member of the PMI REP Advisory Board, and is a member of the Canadian Advisory Committee on TC258 for Project Management.

Pauline Meyer Lebel, P.Eng
Manager, Licensure
Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)

Pauline Meyer Lebel is a professional chemical engineer with over 20 years of experience in industry. Her background is varied and includes chemical process development, proposal preparation, project management, training and consulting.

She has also been involved in teaching engineering and computer courses at both Sheridan College and Conestoga College. She is currently the Manager, Licensure at Professional Engineers Ontario.

Aftab Khan, P.Geo

Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO)

Aftab has over thirty-five years’ experience as a Geoscientist in the upstream oil and gas industry holding various positions experience in various technical, sales and management positions in Singapore, Indonesia, Netherlands, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Qatar. His global experience was enhanced by working for international organizations such as Schlumberger, Halliburton, ADNOC, Landmark Resources, Geophysical Services Inc. and Reliance Geosciences Canada Inc.

Aftab has been responsible for running regional and country level Exploration & Production (E&P) business operations. He holds a Master's Degree in Geophysics.

Brian Brophey
Registrar & Director, Member Relations
Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI)

Brian Brophey is the Registrar and Director of Member Relations of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute, the professional association for approximately 4,500 urban and regional (spatial) planners in Ontario.

Brian is a lawyer by training who has specialized in professional regulation, and previously worked at the Ontario College of Pharmacists.

Barry Billing
Deputy Registrar
Ontario Association Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT)

Barry is the Deputy Registrar at OACETT and is responsible for admissions, certification, and registration for its 25,000 members. He also provides senior project management for association mandated special projects and OACETT-wide initiatives.

Barry holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and his background includes working within the Ontario postsecondary education sector for 20 years as a Senior Business Analyst, as well as an Associate Registrar at Conestoga College, Fanshawe College and Georgian College.

Anne Egan, M.Sc. (Eng.), P.Eng.
President
Ontario Onsite Wastewater Association (OOWA)

Anne is a Professional Engineer and Onsite Wastewater Specialist with the consulting firm of R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited, where she leads a team of professionals specializing in onsite and decentralized wastewater management. The team services a broad client base with a variety of projects involving the assessment, design, approvals, construction and operation of onsite and decentralized wastewater treatment systems.

Anne earned both her B.Sc.E. and M.Sc.(Eng.) in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University. She is the current president of the Ontario Onsite Wastewater Association, a provincial not-for-profit association dedicated to promoting the benefit and value of onsite and decentralized wastewater management.

Harry Alakbarov
Learning & Development Program Manager
Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE)

Harry is a Learning & Development professional with over 13 years of experience in oil & gas, hospitality, and education sectors. Most of his career has been with British Petroleum, where he managed the engineering capability development teams and delivered multi-million dollar projects for development of existing and prospective employees.

His focus areas are resource demand planning, university engagement and graduate recruitment, training needs analysis, instructional design and delivery, organizational development, training program management and succession planning. Harry has a master's degree in Communication from University of Central Florida.
